Hardware Services

PlanNet21 is a Cisco Systems Premier Partner, and a Cisco Systems Education Partner. In addition to this PlanNet21 hold the following Cisco Specialisations, "IP Telephony", "Voice Access", "VPN Security", "Advanced Security" and "Wireless LAN", thus making PlanNet21 the most specialised Cisco partner in Ireland. We have also partnered with Extreme Networks, 3Com and Nortel Networks. Thus we can supply, install and support equipment from all of these vendors. This equipment includes Switches, Routers, Wireless LAN/WAN, Remote Access Solutions, Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions, IP Telephony, Security and Network Management.

In addition to its network partnerships PlanNet21 are a Compaq and an IBM partner. We provide Servers, PCs and Laptops from Compaq, IBM, Hewlett Packard and Toshiba. Installation and configuration services are available for all the above equipment.

Software Services

PlanNet21 Communications is a Microsoft Certified Partner and a Citrix Silver Partner. We are available to provide installation, configuration and ongoing support and maintenance for a range of software products. This includes application software from Microsoft, Novell, Adobe, Citrix, Computer Associates and others.

The engineers at PlanNet21 are familiar with most major Operating Systems. These include Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, Novell Netware, Linux, Solaris, Irix, Citrix Metaframe and BSD. Installation and configuration services are available for all the above operating systems. In addition to this advanced network service configurations such as DNS, DHCP, NIS, NFS and others are also available on request.

PlanNet21 also supports a range of email servers. Examples are MS Exchange, Lotus Notes, MDaemon and Sendmail. These can be configured to provide secure corporate email services to customers.

Education and Certifications

A policy of both in-house and off-site training is employed to ensure that the engineering staff at PlanNet21 are fully trained and certified on all solutions offered. Currently they hold certifications from such manufacturers as Cisco Systems, Extreme Networks, Citrix, Compaq, Microsoft and Novell. These certifications include Cisco CCIE, CCNP, CCNP Voice, CCDP, CCNA, CCDA, Cisco Wireless LAN, Cisco IP Telephony, Cisco Security, Cisco Content Networking, Extreme Certified Engineer, Compaq ASE, Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft MCP, Citrix Administrator and Novell CNE.
